The Library has 12 floors plus the basement  -- see our floor directory for complete details. Books are located on the 3rd - 7th and 9th - 10th floors. The Lobby is the main floor and houses the Circulation Desk (where you go to check books in and out), the Reserves Desk, Jazzman's, and Student Success Center Offices. In addition, you can find the current issue of several popular magazines along with a new book carousel. We have our general reference desk in the Lobby with our Circulation Desk if you need help with the Library or with a research paper. We have two group study rooms (one on the 3rd floor and one on the 4th floor) that can be reserved by groups of 2 - 8 students. The Student Success Center is located on the 2nd floor. The 3rd floor, which is our designated quiet floor, is a good place to study. The 6th floor houses the George Whitesel Multimedia Lab. The 8th floor is our administrative offices, so if you are looking for the Dean of Library Services or one of the Library's two department heads, that is where you need to go. The 10th floor houses an instruction room (10B), a computer lab, and the Alabama Gallery. The 11th floor is a conference center, and the 12th floor has a spectacular view and also offers quiet study areas. Finally, the basement houses an instruction lab, our Technical Services Departments, and some Student Success Center offices.
